Between 2020 and 2021, I managed the publication and printing of my biggest independent editorial project to date (“Queer Arcana”, a queer-themed tarot deck composed of 22 of my original illustrations based on photos of people from my local community in my hometown, Milan). Two editions of the product have been produced and have sold out, the second in collaboration with Libreria Antigone, a prominent local LGBTQ+ bookstore in Milan. I styled the models’ clothing and took the photos myself, while Eli Tornar took care of the make-up.

200 copies of the tarot deck have been sold in total, and I have organised exhibitions and Q&As about the project in various locations in Italy.

One of the illustrations from Queer Arcana has been used in the cover of the cover of the italian version of Call Me Esteban by Lejla Kalamujić, edited by Nutrimenti Casa Editrice.

I am currently participating in a residency program (Maker in Huis) at Productiehuis NOWHERE in Amsterdam, along with my colleagues and friends Tamika Horsten and Noèmie Metz-Vinez. We are working on organising an exhibition called “Growing Out of Stereotypes”, which focuses on queer joy and building intergenerational bridges within the LGBTQ+ community. The exhibition will showcase Tamika’s photographs and interviews of LGBTQ+ people in Amsterdam who are over 50 years old. I contribute to the project with design, communications and editorial work. Find more about the project here. More to come soon!
